Life isn't "fair, but it's still good.
When in doubt, just take the next small step.
Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

Hello to all of you. Our New Year is up and going strong. Send-Off had a large crowd and so our new leaders are off and running. Sunnyslope was honored with many Grand Chapter Appointments.
Wayfarers Lodge, where Sunnyslope meets, was hit by taggers and was really a sad sight. The Masons got busy and got it cleaned off but it is such a shame that we have to put up with this. Too bad these kinds of people were not raised in the Masonic or Eastern Star Way.
The Past Matrons had a get together at the Black Bear on August 25th and it was well attended.
We need to be sure that you are aware that the Friendship Night for Sunnyslope #47 has been changed to December 6th. It will be a Winterfest.
Don't forget our Annual Turkey Dinner and Bazaar to be held on November 17th. We will look forward to seeing you there. Tickets are available from any of the Officers.
Be sure you are pulling your pop tops from your cans and also from the cans like soup and vegetables. Those pop tops are also fine. These are saved for the Ronald McDonald House which is one of the Worthy Grand Matron Imogene's special projects. Also, then bring your aluminum cans to Vernon Nolte, Past Patron as he uses the money from them to buy the water for our drinking fountain.
Sadly, our Golden Chain has been broken several times already this year. We lost Shirley Lange on May 6, Wilma Ulrick on May 7, Ellen Moffatt on June 18, Eugenia Coyle on July 28 and Robert Kelly on August 2. We also lost a PGP Roy Badger over the summer.
The Altar was draped in their memory at our first meeting.
Keep all of our Sisters and Brothers in your prayers for a healthy and happy year and also remember those who are serving our country. God Bless America!
