Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Anthony and I went and saw Sister Sandra Bush Gardner yesterday after Fiesta Day. She's looks better but is still not doing well. We have found out that she has internal bleeding from an unknown source. The test will be continuing and she will still be in Banner Thunderbird for an undetermined amount of time. She has been moved to room 326. Calls are welcomed the number to her room is (602) 865-5326. If she does not answer the phone it means she has gone for another test. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.
In Star Love,
Sister Faith Pugliese

We are taking a moment to look back on 2007. December 19th we honored our 25 & 50 year members. They were Richard Castor, Naoma Fraiser, Sandra McAlpin, who received their 50-year pins. The 25-year pins went to Roger Adermann, Betty Boone, Susan Black and Susan Reno. Congratulations.
Now we are ready for 2008 with 'Elvis lives'! We welcomed all Chapters to our Friendship Night. Everyone was dressed in 50 & 60's attire on January 7th. Even the food was what Elvis lived for. It was a night to remember.
Come, join us on February 6 when we honor our "J's" for the many years of service they have given to Eastern Star. Oh! Yes, I almost forgot we also have a new "J" in training.
The Honor Night for the Grand Sentinel Gerald "Jerry" Benham and the Ambassador for the MWGM to Peru and Colombia Josephine Kozacek is on February 20. The hoot of the Owls and songs of the Indians are getting louder as this night draws near. Come and join us, arrive early for a good seat and stay late for refreshments.
March 5 is a Stated Meeting.
The members and friends of Glendale Chapter are heading to the Wild Life Zoo on Northern Avenue and the 303 in Glendale. There are lots of new animals. Please come to the Zoo, as I hear they now have singing dogs. See you on March 15th at 10:00 AM at the Zoo. Afterwards we will go for lunch at Dillon's on Thunderbird Road and 101. Mark your calendars for a day of relaxing fun.
92 years old, yes March 16th, 1916 Glendale Chapter became a new Chapter in Arizona. Come join our Chapter's Birthday Party on March 19 at 7:30 PM.
Coming up on March 30, from 8:00 AM until noon, is another Breakfast for the 2009-2010 Year Fund.
"Jerry" and our Chapter look forward to serving you breakfast for a $7.00 donation.
Watch for more information about April 6 when Glendale Chapter holds its Annual Hamburger Fry. It will be ready at the "Stanfields" from noon until 6:00 PM. Mark your calendars.

The following message was received this afternoon from PGM Patricia Rust Morris for sharing with the Arizona members.
When Marvin was in the hospital in September, the doctors were able to get his fluid retention under control with medication. This last week he again went to the hospital with severe fluid retention. He is in congestive heart failure and medication did not remove the fluid.
Marvin is home now and on Hospice. He has been on home health care and the same caring staff will be providing the hospice care.
Y our prayers will be greatly appreciated.
