For those driving on the Freeway, you may exit on Prince Rd, as in directory, (ramp is NOT closed) OR, as an alternate, exit Orange Grove, left (go under freeway), take a right on River (at the first light) to Campbell, take a right, Allen on left.

As a reminder, Arizona #2's "Mini-Homecoming" is Saturday, April 5th -- three short weeks away. A sliced roast beef luncheon will be served at 11:30, cost is $12. Arizona #2 will be having a lasagna dinner on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:30 (just before our meeting) benefiting ESTARL, $7.00. You may pay at the door, but please RSVP to Leslie Christiansen at Leslie85733@yahoo.com, so we'll have a food count.

Arizona #2 invites you to join us for Bunko on the first Saturday of each month except August. We play at Tucson Lodge #4 on Allen Road.
We start at 10:00 AM and play until approximately Noon. We then share in th lunch provided by Arizona #2 members. Donation for the Game and the Lunch is $5.00. They also have a 50/50 raffle with the tickets at $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
The next Bunko dates are: February 2, March 1 and May 3. The April 5 Bunko session will not be held as that is the date for Arizona #2's Official Visit. Hope to see you there.
Join us on February 5 for our Stated Meeting, honoring the Line Officers, and on the 19th for our Stated Meeting, honoring the Star Points.
Come hungry on February 24 for our Annual Meatloaf Dinner at the Lodge on Allen Road starting at 1 :00 pm to 3:00 PM; $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children (12 and under) Menu: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls and butter, dessert and beverage.
Our March meetings are on the 4th & 18th.
The April 1 meeting will have a special program honoring the Bible. This is an Arizona Chapter #2 tradition and we would be honored to have you share in this event.

January 1 will be a Regular Stated Meeting. We wish everyone a Very Happy New Year and invite you to share this evening with us.
January 15 we will be honoring our GGCCM Cleone Lavitschke and hope that you are able to join us.

It is with sadness I report that our Golden Chain of Friendship has been shortened. The link of Brother Paul Harper of Arizona Chapter #2 has fallen away. He passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2007.
Harper Sr., Paul Woodruff
HARPER, Paul Woodruff, Sr., age 89, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2007 at NW Hospital. He was born November 25, 1917 to the late Pyrrhus Euphrates and Margaret Lena (Sexton) Harper in Auburn, Illinois. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his youngest son, Gary Lee Harper. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lillian of Tucson, two sons, Paul W. Harper, Jr. (Lee) Harper of Bethel Island, California and Kenneth R. (Nita Sue) Harper of Alliance, OH. There are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Paul was a retired electrical contractor and owner of Harper Electric. He moved his family from Illinois to Tucson in 1947, and transferred his membership from Illinois L.U. #364 to L.U. #570 in Tucson. When he first arrived in Tucson he was employed by International Control Equipment/ Fairbanks Morse (I.C.E.) to modify and update, on site, the electrical control equipment on the 18 missile sites in Southern Arizona. Paul spent many years in numerous Masonic organizations. Paul was a 32 deg. Mason and Past Commander of SOOB. He was also a past officer of the Eastern Star. He and Lillian were avid RV'ers and enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed restoring antique cars. A Memorial Service will be held at Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway Blvd., Friday, October 19, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. where he was a member. Private family viewing at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME Dodge Chapel.

DeKENO, Lillian L., age 94, passed away September 14, 2007. She is survived by two sons, Glenn (Karen) DeKeno of Payson, AZ and Ray (Mary) DeKeno of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; one daughter, Ruth Fisher of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Chuck, Don and Bob DeKeno and Kathy Lagorio; one daughter-in-law, Martha DeKeno. Mrs. DeKeno was a member of Chapter Arizona #2 Order of Eastern Star; Olana Temple #131 Daughters of the Nile, and Tash Tonlik Court #10 Order of Amaranth. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Northminister Presbyterian Church, 2450 E. Ft. Lowell Rd. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME Dodge Chapel.
